An updated version of the Actuaries’ Code, setting out members’ duty to report convictions and other findings, came into force today.
The Code was revised following a recent consultation, to ensure its alignment with the new IFoA Disciplinary Scheme, which came into effect today.
These changes mean that the Code’s provisions for reporting relevant convictions and other findings are consistent with changes in the new Disciplinary Scheme.
The integrity of our members is paramount, and in order to protect that integrity, we require Members, under the Code, to report to us relevant criminal convictions, court findings and professional discipline matters.
You can read the revised Code by visiting our Actuaries’ Code web page.
