The IFoA's members have voted to approve the introduction of a revised Disciplinary Scheme for our members.
Neil Buckley, Chair of the IFoA’s Regulatory Board said:
"Thank you to the members who considered and voted on the proposals for a revised Disciplinary Scheme. The revised Disciplinary Scheme will play a vital role in maintaining high standards and confidence in members. Enforcement of the IFoA standards plays an important role in ensuring the public continues to place trust in actuaries.
The changes to the IFoA’s disciplinary framework are in the public interest and of real benefit to members. The changes will provide a disciplinary regime where investigations are only instigated where it is appropriate to do so and allow flexibility as to how cases can be dealt with. We look forward to implementing the revised Scheme in early 2023."
