Consultation on Regulatory Framework on CDC Pension Schemes

We are calling on actuaries in the pensions practice area to respond to a consultation on IFoA regulation relating to CDC pension schemes.

We have published proposals approved by the Regulation Board to introduce a new Practising Certificate (PC) for members appointed as the scheme actuary to a CDC pension scheme.

The proposals include:

  • a revised Actuarial Profession Standard (APS) P1: Duties and Responsibilities of Members undertaking work in relation to pension schemes, which extends requirements to CDC scheme actuaries.
  • changes to the new PC Scheme

The consultation will close on Monday 24 October.
