If you are a member of another actuarial association which does not hold a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and would like to join the IFoA as a Fellow or Associate, you can apply through our Individual Qualification recognition Route.
If you are qualified as an Associate or Fellow with a recognised actuarial association you can apply for individual qualification recognition.
A recognised actuarial association is one that held full membership status of the International Actuarial Association at the time the individual qualified.

You will need to complete our individual qualification recognition application form and send your completed application form, along with the required documentary evidence to our Member Service team.

If you do not meet the criteria for individual qualification recognition, you could join the IFoA as a student and study to become an Associate or Fellow of the IFoA.
