Women Actuaries Community Committee – members

Application closing date: 8 September

We are seeking to establish a new committee to focus on women actuaries and provide opportunities to network and support members throughout their careers.

The IFoA’s committees play an important and highly active role in curating content for the profession’s webinar programme and conferences, with support from the IFoA’s events, marketing, and communities engagement teams.

Being part of this committee is an opportunity to make a real difference to members and to contribute to the wider profession.

Key activities are to:

  • develop an annual plan of activities and regular posts on the IFoA’s communications platforms
  • liaise with relevant boards, groups, and committees and IFoA staff to plan content for virtual networking, in-person events, and ongoing discussions on IFoA communities, the IFoA’s digital community platform
  • bring new ideas and speakers to ensure a varied offer to our members
  • monitor and evaluate the annual plan to ensure relevance and engaging activities for members

We are seeking members with a:

  • strategic mind set with thoughtful views on how the IFoA can enhance its events offering to ensure it adds value to our diverse community of members
  • willingness to work with other committee members to pull together an engaging series of events – both in person and online
  • commitment to publish and promote events on personal social media accounts and join the conversation on IFoA communities
  • wide network of contacts to support speaker opportunities and bring new voices into debates at events and on IFoA communities
