Pensions Lifelong Learning Sub-committee – members

Application closing date: 31 July

New volunteers sought to make an impact!

The IFoA’s lifelong learning committees play an important and highly active role in curating the content provided in the profession’s virtual webinar programme and conferences with support from the IFoA’s events, marketing, and communities engagement teams.

With so many people now working and learning within a hybrid model, the webinar programme and conferences are key to presenting relevant (often hot) topics to the pensions community, which in turn encourage, engage, and support members in many ways.

Being part of this committee is an opportunity to make a real difference to members and to contribute to the wider profession.

We are seeking members with:

  • a strategic mind set with thoughtful views on how the IFoA can enhance its events offering to ensure they follow best practice and add value to our diverse community of current and future members
  • a willingness to work with other committee members to pull together an engaging series of events – both in person and online – to ensure fellow pensions professionals have access to the CPD they need to perform their roles
  • a commitment to publish and promote events on personal social media accounts; join the conversation on one of the IFoA’s social media posts and IFoA communities
  • an interest in new domains as actuaries diversify into new sectors

Time commitment

The time commitment on average is one to two days per month, though maybe more or less during different times of the year depending on the scheduling of the portfolio of events.
