The Health and Care Research Sub-committee is seeking to recruit enthusiastic, proactive, and innovative volunteers with expertise in health insurance, health research, healthcare, or related fields to volunteer to join this sub-committee to help drive the development of actuarial practice and research in the health and care area.
The Health and Care Research Sub-committee oversees around 10 working parties undertaking research in areas of relevance for practitioners and in the public interest.

The Chair and committee members are keen to have a diverse mix of skill sets represented on the committee and would encourage anyone with experience in this area to apply.
Approximately 4 to 5 hours per month, which includes attendance at Health and Care Research Sub-committee meetings. The committee may meet up to 5 times a year. Meetings are usually held via video conference call to widen the opportunity to all.
The members will also be expected to handle emails and any issues that arise in between meetings.
