The IFoA’s AGM for 2024 has been set for Wednesday 24 July starting at 16:45 CST (09:45 BST).
The event will be delivered in-person in Guangzhou, China from the IFoA Asia Conference 2024.
We are keen to provide access to all our members, wherever they are based. We are planning a livestream so that you can watch the AGM online and if, for any reason, the meeting cannot take place in China, we will deliver the AGM virtually.
A viewing of the AGM livestream will also take place at Staple Inn Hall, where Immediate Past President Matt Saker, Chair of the IFoA Board David Currie, and members of the IFoA Executive Leadership Team will be present.
If you are planning to join the IFoA Asia Conference 2024 in-person and attend the AGM, you can select to attend the AGM when booking for the conference. Book your place for the conference at: IFoA Asia Conference 2024.
If you are planning to attend the AGM only, please use the booking link below.
At each AGM, members are invited to receive and consider the annual report of the IFoA, along with the financial statements for the past financial period. The report and financial statements will be made available on our website ahead of the AGM on our annual reports page. We welcome questions about them both before and at the meeting – see below for further details.
The results of our 2024 Council elections will be announced at the AGM, along with the outcome of a member vote to award Honorary Fellowship to nominated individuals.
The outgoing President of Council, Kalpana Shah, will be invited to speak, and Kartina Tahir Thomson will be formally installed as our President for the 2024/25 session.
The results of two annual member votes will also be announced at the AGM:
Those members who are eligible to vote on these matters will be contacted separately in due course with full details.
