Jacky Poon is Head of Actuarial and Analytics at nib Group, Convenor of the Institute of Actuaries Australia’s Young Data Analytics Working Group, and a member of the IFoA’s Machine Learning in Reserving Working Party.
Sarah has 30 years actuarial experience in general insurance, spanning personal lines, London Market, reinsurers, and captives, both in the UK and overseas. She started her career working for General Accident in Hong Kong but has spent most of her time as a consultant in London, first with Towers Watson, and then with LCP.
Sarah has a long history of activity at the IFoA. She is chair of the Machine Learning in Reserving Working Party and is on the General Insurance Board. She has previously spoken and written widely on reserving, uncertainty, and PPOs.
