The IFoA Foundation has made a positive impact on many individuals since its launch in 2020. We have:
“It is a pleasure to share stories from some of our beneficiaries, as well as feedback from projects and inspirational comments from partners and donors in our impact report.
Thank you to all our supporters; to my fellow trustees and volunteers who give their valuable time, energy, and expertise; the philanthropists whose passion for ‘paying it forward’ makes our work possible; and the partners who invest their resources in our shared purpose.”
– IFoA Foundation Chair Masimba Zata
Find out how the IFoA Foundation is changing lives for the better with stories from our beneficiaries.
Peddina Sripriya was studying for a Masters in Actuarial Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Bengalaru, when she was awarded a scholarship to support her IFoA education in 2022. In this clip she describes its “life changing impact”.
She comments that as well as alleviating financial pressures, the opportunity to network with people around the world through the foundation’s mentoring programme was also beneficial. It was good to know there are people “who support our career, who are happy with our success”.
Ultimately, she says, “it motivated me to study harder and not give up on my dreams and helped me realise the importance of this profession and... the impact it could create among people.”
Peddina Sripriya is now working full-time for Swiss Re as an Actuarial Analyst and jumping at opportunities to help others and ‘give back’ for positive social impact.
