The results of the 2024 Council elections were announced at the IFoA’s AGM on Wednesday 24 July 2024.

There were 10 vacant General constituency seats in this year’s election, and 24 candidates stood for election. The following were elected:
The one Scottish constituency member whose term on Council was due to finish at the end of the 2023-24 sessional year – Patrick Kelliher – resigned from Council in April 2024 in order to serve in an interim capacity as a Member Non-Executive Director on the IFoA Board.
Only one candidate – Dermot Grenham – stood for election for the sole vacant Scottish constituency seat in this year’s election. He was thus elected unopposed.
